''For the second year the NCFDA (NC Funeral Directors Association) Districts 6 & 8 Christmas Party was held at Graylyn....and this year I had the opportunity to stay overnite following the party.

Because our group is so large, we chose the Atlantis Room (Indoor pool). Every detail was perfect; from the valet parking, the drop-off boxes for our Toys for Tots drive, the table settings and decor.....and THE FOOD was AWESOME. We chose clam chowder, salad, beef tips, grilled salmon and chicken with 3 or 4 sides and a couple desserts for our buffet. It was awesome. The wait staff as well as the bartender make you feel like you are their only concern for the moment.

The room was spacious and well-appointed with beautiful period furnishings. The breakfast buffet was delicious with choices available for any taste.

(I'll add that I also enjoyed the Thanksgiving Brunch at Graylyn this year, and treated my secretary to lunch here for Administartive Professional's Day!)

''I wanted to take a moment to thank the staff of Graylyn for a wonderful experience. We held our Annual Conference at the Graylyn facility June 24th-25th of 2009. This letter is long overdue but very much deserved. Our annual conference is an extremely important event for us and one that is near and dear to our heart. We treat our customers as if they are family and to our delight we found that Graylyn implements the same policy. Graylyn's conference facility and staff allowed us to feel as if we were opening the doors of our home to our customers. There was not an employee that we came in contact with that did not provide the utmost in customer service.

The staff at Graylyn was very patient with my numerous questions and always had a solution. They did a wonderful job of arranging our ''Olympics'' and were great at keeping everyone on task and moving. I am sorry to say that I do not remember the names of the Butler Staff but suffice it to say they were all extremely polite, helpful, calm, professional...need I say more?

The Graylyn conference facility was a welcome break from the standard hotel environment that our conferences have been held at in the past. The Estate is exquisite and exuded charm. I enjoyed watching our customers chatting with our employees while relaxing on the grounds or in one of the beautifully appointed rooms between sessions. It truly did feel as if we had opened our home to them.
